Simon was in Seven with some of the crew, attempting to fit in a holographic generator for some astounding ghostly special effects for the party.

Ensign Owen came strolling in, looking for a hot drink. Simon decided that he was the perfect subject for testing out the system.

He pressed a few buttons and suddenly, a ghost was following Owen. Unfortunately, it couldn't touch him- the power of the apparition was, sadly, limited.

Owen had no idea this creepy thing was following him until he turned round after being served by the bar staff and screamed-- dropping the cup of coffee or tea, whichever it was-- and then suddenly realized it was one of Lieutenant Biggs' created ghosts and that it was for the Halloween/Promotion party.

"Wow! Now that was terrific! Have you got any more?" Owen asked, his voice still quivering sightly.

"Not quite, still working on the textures and such, but scary enough I suppose. Must test it on the Captain, now that will be funny," Simon responded with a menacing laugh. "What is your costume going to be, Owen?"

"Batman "

"Cool. Look forward to seeing you at the party, Ensign."

Owen left. Simon switched off the holographic emitter for now and helped move it closer to the wall. Another crewman pressed a button to disguise it as the wall, and in no time at all the emitter disappeared was perfectly hidden from view. Moments later, all of the holo emitters were hidden into the walls.

"Right. Team meeting, everybody!" All the crewmen and women gathered around the table and sat down.

"Well done, everybody. Everything has gone according to plan so far, but we still need to get the stage ready for the band." Simon said as he picked up a PADD and ticked off the tasks they had already accomplished.

"Got it covered, mate," Trick London pushed a button behind the bar, and a stage began to lower down from the wall where the tiny holographic band alcove used to sit. "Since they were tearing things up working on the coffee bar next door, I figured what the hell The band plays so often you need a bigger stage." London replied, a smug smile at the reaction the stage received.

"Only one more thing," Simon said, preparing to conclude the meeting. "Since there's seven of us working on the holographic entertainment, we should each create our own ghosts for the emitters. I've almost finished mine, just a few more modifications to go. Let's get back to work and finish up."

A few hours later, all the ghosts were finished, and a member of the crew called Monica created the best ghost of all, in Simon's opinion. It was practically invisible, but was programmed to move and lift things. The others created mostly visual ghosts that just popped up out of the walls.

"Great," Simon nodded with satisfaction as they showed him their work. "We just have to create some atmosphere and we're done. Let's get the fog machines going and have the computer set to play the scary ambient noises at intervals,"

Another Ensign walked in, not expecting to see the completed project. One of the ghosts actually greeted the young ensign, who just played along.

*Which is exactly what is supposed to happen,* Simon thought with a smile. He looked at his crew of party planners and sent them off on their way.

"Mission accomplished. See you all tomorrow."
