Title: The Prophets Have Spoken Part Two
Author: Jariel Camen
Scene: Jariel's Vision/Deck 12
Time: Following part one
---------------------------------------------------

"Why have you brought me here?"

Grace: "You will be leaving our realm soon, we will not be able to speak to you again until you return."

***FLASH, Camen now seems to be in Seven***

"But, WHY have you brought me here now?"

London: "Please Vedek, be welcome here."

Jeaq': "We are pleased with your current course."

Angus: "The Vedek is returning to faith."

***FLASH, Camen now appears to be in the Independence's main conference room***

Gilmore: "But his faith is still misplaced."

N'Dura: "Yes, misplaced."

Blane: "The Prophets are to be your only focus. This position she offers you is commendable, but we desire more from you."

"Why?" Camen spoke, "You've already taken my voice. Have I not made myself clear to you? My destiny lies with Zanh Liis, and that will not change."

Biggs: "Not enough, not enough."

***FLASH, Camen is now in sickbay.***

McBrayne: "You are too hard on him."

T'Ana: "Yes, too hard. He is linear, he will someday see the error in his ways. We should praise him for this step."

Trind: "It is time to heal him, and fulfill his desires."

K'Raye: "He desires but one thing."

***FLASH, Camen is now in Engineering***

Kellyn: "Still, there is her. She remains the problem." The Prophet spoke of Zanh Liis now.

Salvek: "Indeed. But we should repair him."

Xhian: "Yes, repair. How is he to spread our word with no voice?"

***FLASH, Camen is now on the bridge.***

Windsor: "She will continue to distract him."

"Liis?" Jariel objected. "But look at what she has done. She is putting me in a position to share faith and support with members of the crew. She is embracing that side of my life, not driving me away from it."

Margolis: "We have denied him his voice long enough. He will speak our word again."

Gilmore: "Then it is settled."

Morris: "No."

Camen swung around, to see the visage of Jordan Morris behind him. "Perhaps his path is not to be exactly as we intended. He will struggle to share his ideals with the crew, without his voice."

"This is to be my test isn't it?" Jariel asked. "If I can move beyond this barrier, to help my crew as Chaplain without my voice, then this will please you?"

Morris: "Your return to Bajor would please us. Your new duties, however, will satisfy us. We doubt your resolve, your ability to see this through, especially with your handicap. Perhaps, in what you call the future, if your faith remains true we will see fit to restore your voice."

N'Dura: "And what of Zanh Liis? She is the one who distracts him from the path to begin with."

Morris: "He is right, she has placed him back on the path to a certain extent. Perhaps we have judged her role too harshly. We will see where his Pagh leads him."

***FLASH****

"You hate it don't you?" The disappointed voice of Zanh Liis jerked Camen from his vision.

Camen opened his mouth to speak, and no sound came forth. [[What?]] he signed finally.

"I asked you if we had an accord and you just stared through me. I understand, this must all be too much."

[[No, Liis. It's perfect. Everything is perfect. With all my heart I accept this offer.]]

"Then what is bothering you?"

[[Them.]] he began slowly [[They spoke to me, just now.]]

"Oh... swell."
