Post 300: The Calm Before the Storm

Title: The Calm Before the Storm

Scene: The Beach/Holodeck Four
Time: Following "Late Night Surf, and "We Go Together"

Lily snuck away from the fire quietly as the women were talking and laughing. She had eyed Angus walking toward the beach and wanted to sneak up on him and surprise him.

"Hello, stranger," she said to him as she joined him where the trees met the beach. She swung him around and backed him up against a tree and surprised him with her obvious strength. "Remember those workouts kickboxing on the holodeck? I was building up your stamina."

At that comment Angus started a deep throaty laugh at this delicate creature that pinned him against the tree. The trouble was, he was afraid she meant it. He didn't know if he had the self control to stand up against this beautiful woman he had so many feelings for. This was so new to him.

"Lily, look, I know what is going on with you. I don't want to take advantage of a situation well, that I could. The problem is. . .is that I really do have feelings for you. I have for quite a while now." Angus looked deeply into her eyes with the moon shining up against her face just perfectly.

"Angus, I know what is happening to me, remember, I am a scientist, I am 28 years old. I am a big girl honey." Lily spoke to him with such terms of endearments that he just didn't think he would be able to resist her much longer.

His breathing patterns began to quicken and he led her back toward the beach. There he had a blanket and a bucket of ice with a bottle in it along with two glasses. Together they sat down on the blanket, which sat further down on the beach than the bonfire.

"I have a surprise for you, look up." Angus pushed a button on a small remote, and all of a sudden a barge that was floating out on the water started to display beautiful fireworks. A message came across the sky which read, "LILY YOU TAKE MY BREATH AWAY. . . .A. . . ."

Lily looked at Angus next to her on the blanket, she wrapped her arms around him and told him, "With you I feel so safe, and this is no biochemical thing, it's from my heart, it's been here in my heart for quite some time." With that she gave him a very lovely kiss which made Angus melt in her arms. "My feelings for you are very deep." she said to him, looking into his eyes.

Angus looked back at her. "I feel the same way, I just want to prove myself to you, that my intentions are real and honorable." He wanted her to feel that within his arms was the safest place she could ever be.

"Look up Lily, I have more surprises planned for everyone!" Angus was so happy that he wanted to share his happiness with all his friends there at the beach.

Just then, all hell was about to break loose on holodeck number four . . .
