Title: Back In The Saddle
Author: David McKenna
Scene: Sickbay
Time: Following "His own little war"

A few hours had passed since David was appointed Supervising Medical Officer by the Acting Captain, to which he was very honoured. He decided first thing to do was to take a look at his staff roster, and then the inventory, with a nice easy stroll through the statistical reports on crew health and medical conditions.

"Computer, load a list of all medical personnel into this PADD, followed by a list of all personnel onboard with field medical training of Level 3 or higher."

"Thank-you computer,"

*Hmm not too bad at all, a couple of nurses, a couple of medical officers, and a heap of qualified field medical officers which is always great in an emergency. In addition to the EMH, which the engineering department assures me will be back up and running as soon as they can reprogram it.*

David continued to read to himself, when all of a sudden he was interrupted by the calls for a doctor followed by several loud sneezes, to which David didn't bat an eye lid at first. Again, someone called out for a doctor.

"Oh bugger, that's me," said David as he came out of the breakout room, "Sorry about that Lieutenant, I'm Lt Commander McKenna, how can I help you today?" Said David as be pondered the possibilities.

"ACHOO, Sir, Lieutenant Samson, I am, ACHOO allergic to cats, and ACHOO I am looking after AAA AAA Lt Grace's CHOO Cat." Said Micah through the barrage of sneezes, while David scanned him with a Medical Tricorder, as he tried avoid the volley of sneezing residue.

"Computer activate Lieutenant Samson's Medical File, authorization Sierra Mike Oscar 142. Display medical history in relation to allergies-. Okay, good, Lieutenant, not allergic to any antihistamine or medicinal products. I can see you have an ongoing allergy to some animals. Computer, open a report in this file, make a note that Lieutenant Samson on this day at this time came to sickbay to see me, his continuing diagnosed allergies have become inflamed and at this time I have administered him with the prescribed dosage of antihistamine, as well as giving him a box of tissues. End report."

"You must really love animals to put up with such discomfort Lieutenant, you really are a credit to your uniform and a treasure to your friends, the owners of the pets. Keep up the good work!" said David with a pat on the Lieutenant's back.

"Thank-you Doctor, I, don't? look forward to seeing you again, you know what I mean Sir." said Micah with a bit of a chuckle

"HAHA yes Lieutenant, I know what you mean."
