======= Marin's Quarters - 0645 =======

*Mmmmm... snffflt*

*Sigh*

Marin rose to the sound of her door chime.

"Coming!" she hollered from her bed, swinging her legs over the side and pushing herself offwith her hands. She quickly grabbed her robe and threw it over her shorts and tank top and headed toward the door.

"Hey...." Patrice Mathers entered her quarters, a mixture of emotions on her face. "We received this only a few moments ago. I thought you might want to see it, seeing as you're going to be stationed there."

Marin tucked a few strands of blond hair behind her ears as she read through the information on the PADD.

The USS Independence was diverting to Trill.

"Why's she comin' here?" Marin asked, her brow furrowing slightly.

"I thought I was supposed to catch a shuttle after I completed my rotation here?"Patrice shrugged.

"I don't know a lot but, they've had some problems on board and are apparently headed here for repairs."

"Hmmmmm." Marin flopped down in an overstuffed chair and crossed her legs. Her best friend, Patrice took a seat on the floor.

"Well, guess I should start packing my stuff... how long before they get here?"

"Several hours... twelve at most, though." Patrice looked as though she'd be sick.

"Hey, Reecie... you knew I was leaving. I like Trill and all, but, I'm only here for my last rotation before I start my commission."The young woman nodded. "I know..."

"Don't worry," Marin smiled grasping her good friend's hand, "I'll keep in touch, promise."

========= Later, Megellen Medical Facility==========

"Everything's packed, I take it? " Commander Rosen peered down over her rectangular glasses.

"Yes, Sir."

"You've finished your rotation with strong marks... although, I would have liked to see better in surgical assistance..."Marin inwardly rolled her eyes. *Old Fishface is NEVER happy.*

"However, I'd say the Independence will be lucky to have you. She's a good ship and I hear the crew is top notch."

Marin smiled slightly. "Thank you, Sir."

"I'll let everyone know you're cleared to leave. Once Independence is in orbit, we'll contact them and send you and your things over."

Once again, Marin nodded."Good luck and God Speed, Ensign Bergman."
